Hudson Valley, New York Prepares For ‘Snow Band On Steroids’
Forecasters are more "confident" a major storm is coming our way.
The Hudson Valley is starting to prepare for a very cold weekend and then the chance of the first major snowstorm of the winter season.
Hudson Valley Weather says it's too early to post any snowfall prediction but confirms they are monitoring "the threat of a significant east coast storm for Sunday into Monday" and feels "confident" a big storm is coming.
Hudson Valley Weather's current Five-Day Forecast states there's a chance of snow late in the day on Sunday followed by "periods of snow likely... heavy at times" Sunday night followed by "snow, heavy at times" during the day on Monday.

Meteorologist Ben Noll, a former Hudson Valley resident, said earlier this week that he is "actively monitoring the snow threat" that could bring a "potentially impactful winter storm" to the Hudson Valley.
Late Wednesday, he shared some more "early thoughts" about the storm.
"Early thoughts for the #HudsonValley next week! 💭 🌨️ Heavy snow Sunday night into Monday 📏 Potential for big accumulation," he tweeted.
In an early Thursday tweet, Noll said it's an "Atmospheric river-fueled snow band" or a "Snow band on steroids."

As of this writing, the Weather Channel still believes there will be a major snowstorm for most of the region Sunday night into Monday morning. Though some of their snowfall totals have changed.
