We are being driven mad by the cooing of pigeons, which nest in the fir trees at the backof our house. They start at first light and carry on throughout the day. Sleep is almost impossible. Before it became illegal, we used to shoot them with an air rifle. We rarely scored, but they seemed to get the message! We’ve thought about removing the trees, but the expense is not viable and, anyway, they would only sit on the roof. Any ideas?GP, Hertfordshire
